There has been much debate about what dowel rods to use when stacking a cake. I’ve seen everything be used from 1/4″ wooden dowels to custom support systems for stacked cakes. Ok, so I stepped outside of the design box a little bit on this one. I wanted to do a steel grey cake! Doesn’t sound too appetizing does it? Well, who cares. I still wanted to do it so, I did. Bashful Blush Bow? I think not!

If you know me, you know there is nothing bashful about me. Not even my wedding cake designs. This particular cake was designed after a brides gown.
